I don’t seek revenge, not because I didn’t feel the pain, but because I love the person I became after it

 

I don’t seek revenge,

not because I didn’t feel the pain, 

but because I love the person I became after it. 

Every betrayal, 

every loss, 

every moment that tried to break me only shaped me into someone wiser, 

stronger, 

and more at peace. 

I don’t need to get even; 

life already balanced the scales by turning my hurt into growth. 

Instead of wasting energy on bitterness, 

I used it to build myself into someone I’m proud of.  

The best revenge isn’t proving a point,

it’s moving forward with grace, 

with success, 

with a heart that no longer carries the weight of the past. 

I don’t look back to wish harm; 

I look back only to remind myself how far I’ve come. 

The people who tried to bring me down don’t deserve my hate; 

they deserve to watch me rise, 

untouched by the damage they once caused.
