I spent all my life reading all the beautiful stories of love, expecting something powerful and unique to sweep me away...
And maybe those amazing feelings do happen here and there for a moment, but I always ended up being sad and disappointed at the end...
Until I wasn't...
And I guess that was always the way it was going to be until you showed up.
My person, the one who was always meant to love me in the ways the others didn't.
Not that they didn't try or mean well, but they weren't you -
Not even close-
And it was always going to be you.
The soul that connected with mine in a way unlike any other.
The person that was my person and my happily ever after.
My future and my home, my safe place in the storms of this life.
The arms that I can always find and lose myself in..and make the world melt away.
There's just something so beautiful, so fulfilling and so true about loving you that it makes me understand why it never worked out with anyone else..
Not because they were bad or wrong-
They just weren't you.
My favorite place, my most real truth and my deepest love,
You've shown me so much and there is still much we have to feel, see and experience..
But I know that all of it, I was meant to do with you.
It's as simple and as complicated as that.
