She knew exactly what she wanted..
Because she had made all the wrong choices before and kissed all the frogs looking for her prince.
She didn’t regret any of the closed doors, because she learned a little something more about herself and what she wanted each time.
Instead of beating herself up about what went wrong or what she could have done differently, she just evolved a little more each time.
Sure, the failed relationships hurt, but she knew that staying too long with the wrong person would hurt even more.
She chose to focus on what she could control and her personal growth, because that’s what meant the most to her- not whatever the last guy was doing or why he left.
She had come to learn that there were many suitors that simply didn’t know what they wanted.
There’s nothing wrong with that, of course, but that just wasn’t what she wanted in her life..
She needed decisiveness..
She wouldn’t ever be okay with someone unsure of where they were going or what they wanted.
She knew who she was and what she wanted out of life, a partner and the future.
All the maybes, hopeful-lies and I don’t knows would never mesh with where she was going.
She needed an emotionally mature and conscious man that understood who she was and what she needed..and wanted nothing more than his soul connected to hers.
She wanted the butterflies, long talks and warm fuzzy feelings, but she needed the deep soul connection that scared so many men..but luckily not all.
So, she wasn’t going to wait around for anyone or anything.
Love would find her when it was time,
And not a second sooner.
So, she kept happily walking her path, finding new ways to enrich her life and her soul..
What’s meant to be will always find a way, she knew..
And the hearts meant to shine will always glow, so she did.
With or without love, she’d keep shining bright like the light she was..
Strong, beautiful and free.
