Homemade Meatballs with Mushroom Cream Sauce
Ingredients:
For the Meatballs:
1 lb ground beef
1/4 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 egg
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp Italian seasoning
Salt and pepper to taste
For the Mushroom Cream Sauce:
2 tbsp butter
1 cup sliced mushrooms
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup beef broth
1 tbsp flour
Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation:
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a bowl, mix all meatball ingredients and form into 1-inch meatballs.
Place meatballs on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until cooked through.
While meatballs bake, melt butter in a pan over medium heat. Add mushrooms and cook until softened.
Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute. Slowly add beef broth and heavy cream, stirring to create a smooth sauce.
Season with salt and pepper and simmer for 5-7 minutes until thickened.
Serve meatballs with mushroom cream sauce poured over the top. Enjoy!
