It’s sad when you cannot put yourself into doing the things you once loved—whether reading a book, watching movies, creating artwork, writing, singing, dancing, playing sports, or even simply strolling around. I know that the things you were once passionate about also saved you when you felt like you were carrying the world on your shoulders. Back then, you were so happy doing the things that you were passionate about, but now, you don’t know what happened. It feels like the passion that was once burning doesn’t have a spark anymore.

I know it’s hard, and you don’t know what to do. I know you want to bring the spark back and you want to enjoy things the way you enjoyed them before, but it doesn’t actually happen instantly. Contrary to what most people believe—that you should just do it again and again until you feel that your love for it is back—you should not force it. Give yourself a break. Allow yourself to breathe. I know that you will feel lost at first, but I also know that the things you really love will always have a special place and space, not just in your heart but also in your life. No matter what you do and where you go, you may be away from the things you love for quite a long time, but they will always feel like home, and I hope that you will find your way back home.
