Do you know why Labor Day is my absolute favorite “holiday” of the year???   Let me tell you why…

I gave birth on Labor Day 27 years ago.  (Labor Day wasn’t on the 1st that year so today isn’t her birthday just yet this particular year)   She was the very first baby born in the hospital that year.  I have always joked with her that “she’s been labor ever since” (which always makes her roll her eyes).  I’m thinking about that old clichΓ© that I say.  I know I was also “a lot of labor” for her as well throughout the years. .  I was young.  Her and I grew up together basically.

27 years later, I look at the “fruit of my labor” and all the qualities that she continues to share into this world.  She is both internally and externally beautiful.  Everyday, she amazes me.  I learn so much from her.   The qualities that she possesses that she continues to share out into the everyday world in her own life journey are as follows:

• Gratitude

• Empathy

• Compassion

• Humbleness

• Willingness to learn

• Accountability

• Ability to accept her own flaws, admit to her mistakes and continue to work on becoming the best version of her own self

• Authenticity

• Humorous

• Realness

• Honesty

• Respect

• Strength

• Good Friend

• Effort

• Kindness

She also possesses a little “crazy” as well and can be a little “bratty” at times  (I’m not sure who she gets those trait from).  πŸ€·‍♀️πŸ˜‰ We will move on from that though as none of us can be “perfect” all the time and you have to keep it a little “interesting”   Right???

I think of the “assets” in my life and she is my “biggest asset” .  The only asset that I truly would die for or go to jail for  (whichever is needed 🀷‍♀️πŸ˜‰) Money and material things aren’t important to me whatsoever.  Now, don’t get me wrong.  Money is important as nobody truly wants to be “ financially poor”.   I’m a realistic person and I don’t want to walk around looking like a frumpy dump either.  Balance is key in that area.  Let me get back on point here.    When you leave this earth (when your life journey is complete), you don’t take anything with you and the material things you leave behind eventually get sold or disposed of in some type of form and eventually forgotten all about.  You know what you “TRULY” leave behind are the “seeds”  that you plant by spreading all of those qualities listed above.  If you plant the seeds, they can “multiply” right.   Continue to spread those seeds.  Be the “change”.  It’s not rocket science   Right?

I was far from a perfect mother so I’m not sure whereas she got all those amazing qualities from but I have sure learned a lot from her and the qualities that she naturally possesses.

When I leave this earth (which I’m hoping isn’t for a long time yet because I still have a lot of “seeds” to plant πŸͺ΄ πŸ˜‰)- I know that I’m leaving behind my “Greatest Asset”  who is going to continue to change the world in a positive manner with everyone that she comes in contact with.   Why?  Because she doesn’t have to “force” all those qualities.  That is “natural” to her and that is what “truly” makes her so beautiful and unique.   I know that she will continue to “lead by example”  and that is what “True Wealth” means to me.

So back to my original question-  Why is Labor Day my absolute favorite “holiday” of the year??

I acquired my “greatest asset” in life on that day 27 years ago.  That “asset” will continue to build “generational wealth”

“This Is all of our first times on this planet” 🌏  Lets learn and grow together.

Happy Labor Day Friends.
