Wakey, Wakey. Sore, Achy, Still Showing Up. Good Morning, Y’all.

“Wakey, wakey. Sore and achy. Good morning, y’all.”

If you woke up today feeling like you fought for your life in your sleep — congratulations. You’ve officially entered adulthood.

There’s a special kind of morning where nothing is technically wrong, yet everything feels… tender. Knees popping. Neck stiff. Brain loading slowly like it’s on dial-up. And still, here you are. Awake. Mostly. Functioning-ish.

This is not the morning for toxic positivity.
This is the morning for honesty, coffee, and realistic expectations.

You don’t need to leap out of bed energized and grateful. You just need to:

  • Stand up without making concerning noises

  • Locate caffeine

  • Stretch in a way that feels legal

  • And remember what day it is before speaking to anyone

Being sore and achy doesn’t mean you’re failing.
It means you’ve lived. Probably slept wrong. Possibly both.

And listen — you don’t have to crush goals before 9 a.m. today. Some days, success looks like showing up, doing your best, and not growling at strangers before your second cup of coffee.

So yes, wakey wakey.
Yes, sore and achy.
And yes, still capable, still moving forward, still deserving of grace.

Take the morning slow.
Let your body catch up to your ambition.
And if anyone expects peak performance before caffeine? That’s on them.

Good morning, y’all.
We’re awake. That’s enough for now. ☕🦍
