You know those people who always have something incredibly smart to say?
Not helpful.
Not kind.
Not requested.
Just... loud.
You could announce you're eating a salad, and suddenly they're a certified nutritionist.
You buy a new car?
"Should've gotten the other model."
You paint your living room?
"I would've picked a different color."
You start going to the gym?
"Actually, that's not the best workout..."
Thanks, Professor Google. We were all waiting for your TED Talk. π
Here's the funny thing about opinions...
Everyone has one.
Some people collect them like PokΓ©mon and feel personally obligated to share every single one.
Meanwhile, the rest of us are just trying to survive Monday without accidentally replying "Love you too" to the bank teller.
At some point, you realize something magical...
You don't have to attend every argument you're invited to.
You don't have to explain every decision.
You don't have to defend your happiness to people who are committed to misunderstanding it.
Sometimes the most peaceful response is simply...
"Interesting."
And then carry on living your life exactly the way you planned.
Because here's the secret...
People who are genuinely happy usually aren't spending their free time critiquing everyone else's choices.
They're too busy living their own lives.
So the next time someone blesses you with an opinion you never asked for...
Smile.
Nod.
Mentally hand them a participation trophy.
Then continue doing whatever made them uncomfortable enough to comment in the first place. π
After all...
Your life isn't a group project.
Not everyone gets a vote.
π Final Thought:
Some people have degrees. Some people have experience. And some people have the confidence of a toddler wearing a superhero cape and absolutely no idea what they're talking about. Learn the difference.
