๐ป Ghost Cinnamon Roll Casserole
⏰ Prep: 15 minutes | Bake: 30–35 minutes
๐ฝ️ Servings: 8
๐ Ingredients
For the casserole:
2 cans (12.4 oz each) refrigerated cinnamon rolls with icing
3 large eggs
½ cup heavy cream
¼ cup maple syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 tablespoons melted butter
¼ cup brown sugar
For the adorable little ghosts:
4 oz cream cheese, softened
½ cup powdered sugar
1–2 tablespoons milk
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Mini chocolate chips or black decorating gel for ghost faces
Mini marshmallows (optional)
๐ฉ๐ณ Let's Get Spooky in the Kitchen!
1. Prepare your haunted headquarters!
Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
2. Chop those cinnamon rolls!
Cut each cinnamon roll into quarters and scatter the pieces evenly in your baking dish. Save the icing packets!
3. Mix up the magic!
Whisk eggs, heavy cream, maple syrup, vanilla, cinnamon, melted butter, and brown sugar until combined.
4. Pour on the deliciousness!
Pour the mixture evenly over the cinnamon rolls. Gently press the pieces down so they soak up some of that creamy goodness.
5. Bake until boo-tiful!
Bake uncovered for 30–35 minutes, until golden brown and the center is set. If the top browns too quickly, loosely cover with foil.
6. Make your ghostly icing!
Beat softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth. Warm the reserved cinnamon roll icing slightly so it's easy to drizzle.
7. Bring on the ghosts! ๐ป
Let the casserole cool for 10 minutes. Drizzle with the reserved icing, then spoon or pipe little ghost-shaped blobs of cream cheese frosting across the top. Add mini chocolate chips or decorating gel for spooky little eyes and mouths!
๐ Extra Halloween Magic!
Serve with crispy bacon, fresh strawberries, or a warm mug of pumpkin spice coffee. For an extra-indulgent treat, drizzle with caramel sauce!
And if somebody asks whether this counts as a healthy breakfast, remind them that cinnamon comes from a tree, eggs have protein, and happiness is important too! ๐๐
Because the only thing scarier than Halloween ghosts is showing up to brunch and discovering somebody ate the last cinnamon roll! ๐ป๐คฃ๐งก
