You know, the older I get, the more I realize The Wizard of Oz wasn't just a children's movie. It was a documentary about women doing everybody else's emotional homework. 🤣
Dorothy just wanted to go home. That's it. Simple request.
Instead, she ends up helping one guy find a brain, another find a heart, and a third find some courage. Meanwhile, she's walking miles in uncomfortable shoes, dodging flying monkeys, and dealing with a grown woman throwing a tantrum over footwear. 😂
Sound familiar, ladies?
There's nothing wrong with helping people along the way, but somewhere between being supportive and becoming everybody's unpaid life coach, we forget we've got our own destination.
Moral of the story? You can love people, encourage them, and cheer them on without making their personal growth your full-time job.
And sometimes, ladies, you just need to click your heels three times and get yourself the hell out of Oz. 👠🤣💗
