One of life's toughest lessons is realizing that some people would rather rewrite history than admit they hurt you. And unfortunately, sharing DNA doesn't automatically mean sharing accountability! π
Some family members will remember every little thing you've done wrong while conveniently forgetting the damage they've caused. Funny how that selective memory works, isn't it? π
But here's the thing… your healing doesn't have to wait for someone else's apology.
You can love people from a distance, forgive without reconciling, and set boundaries without feeling guilty.
And honey, stop expecting accountability from people who treat admitting they're wrong like it's a federal crime! π€¦♀️
You don't need their permission to heal, their approval to move forward, or their apology to find peace. ❤️
Sometimes closure isn't hearing "I'm sorry." It's finally deciding that what happened to you doesn't get to control the rest of your life.
Protect your peace, break the cycle, and remember… being family doesn't give anyone a lifetime membership to mistreat you! ππ
