Listen, at this point, the Grinch doesn't even need to come down the chimney. The electric bill, grocery store, gas pump, and property taxes have already handled the robbery! π€£π
Remember when $100 at the grocery store meant you actually had GROCERIES? Now you walk out with a gallon of milk, some eggs, a pack of chicken, and an attitude problem. ππ
And Christmas shopping? GOOD LORD! π
Santa better start offering payment plans, because these wish lists are looking more like mortgage applications! π³π€£
I'm over here trying to spread holiday cheer while simultaneously wondering if I can put Christmas dinner on a 30-year fixed-rate mortgage.
And don't even get me started on the electric bill. Apparently, keeping the house warm is now considered a luxury vacation. ππ₯
But you know what? We're still gonna decorate, laugh, make memories, and find a little joy in the madness. Because Christmas was never supposed to be about how much money we spend anyway. ❤️
So here's my holiday financial advice: Set a budget, shop smart, skip the pressure to impress people, and remember that nobody needs to go into debt trying to prove they love somebody.
And if anybody asks what I want for Christmas this year?
A paid electric bill, affordable groceries, and about $40 worth of peace and quiet. ππ
The Grinch can keep his little green self at home. The cost of living has already done enough damage!
ππ Who's else looking at these prices and wondering if Santa accepts Klarna?!
