**Narcissist Check List (Expanded)**

1. **Two-faced, critical of others behind their backs.**

A narcissist thrives on tearing people down when they’re not around. To your face, they may smile, flatter, and act friendly. But the moment you leave, they shred your character, gossip about you, and highlight your flaws. They need to make others look bad so they can feel superior.

2. **Blames others for failures.**

Nothing is ever their fault. If something goes wrong, they will point the finger at anyone but themselves. Lost a job? The boss was unfair. Relationship problems? You’re too sensitive. They never take accountability, because admitting failure would damage their fragile ego.

3. **Acts different in public & private.**

This is one of the most confusing aspects of dealing with them. In public, they can appear charming, generous, even “the perfect partner” or “the perfect parent.” But in private, you see the real them—critical, dismissive, controlling, and emotionally cold. This double life keeps others fooled while you suffer behind closed doors.

4. **Unreliable.**

They make promises they don’t keep, show up when it benefits them, and disappear when you truly need them. Their word means nothing because it is based on convenience, not commitment.

5. **Superior attitude.**

They carry themselves as if they’re better, smarter, more attractive, or more important than everyone else. Even if they have no real accomplishments, they act entitled to special treatment and recognition.

6. **Lives in a fantasy world of porn & affairs, and dreams of fame.**

Many narcissists can’t be satisfied with reality. They chase fantasies—whether that’s sexual gratification, secret affairs, or daydreams of fame and success. Instead of working for real achievements, they escape into fantasy because it feeds their ego without effort.

7. **Distorts facts to suit own agenda.**

Truth is flexible to them. They twist events, lie, and manipulate details so that the story always works in their favor. Even when presented with clear evidence, they will deny it, distract, or rewrite history to avoid accountability.

8. **Irresponsible with money.**

They may overspend, rack up debt, or use your financial stability as their safety net. Money is often a tool for control or a way to fuel their impulsive desires, leaving others to clean up the mess.

9. **Only emotionally available when they want something.**

Don’t mistake temporary kindness for genuine care. When a narcissist suddenly shows affection or listens to you, it’s usually because they want something—attention, validation, sex, money, or favors. Once they get it, they withdraw again.

10. **Lacks sympathy for others.**

True empathy is missing. They cannot genuinely put themselves in another person’s shoes or feel compassion for someone’s pain. If they do show sympathy, it’s often fake—an act to maintain their image or gain something.

11. **Controlling.**

Whether it’s who you talk to, where you go, how you dress, or even how you think, they find ways to control your life. This control gives them power, which feeds their ego.

12. **Provokes people then blames them for the fight.**

A narcissist will poke, insult, or guilt-trip you until you finally react. Then, once you lose your cool, they act innocent and blame you for being “the problem.” They thrive on chaos and love to paint themselves as the victim.

13. **Cannot admit mistakes.**

To admit they’re wrong would be to shatter their carefully built illusion of perfection. Instead, they deflect, minimize, or flat-out deny any wrongdoing. In their world, they are flawless, and everyone else is at fault.
