Healing is not selfish. It’s a process of reclaiming your self-respect and breaking free from trauma bonds disguised as loyalty. 

Sometimes the most painful clarity comes from seeing your old relationship patterns for what they really were, self-abandonment. That truth can hurt, but it’s also what brings emotional freedom. 

Unlearning dysfunction means choosing yourself even when it feels unfamiliar. Growth is lonely, but honesty is what sets you free.
