If a buttery, creamy lobster roll and a hot party dip had a ridiculously delicious baby… this would be it. 😂
Think tender lobster, creamy cheese, a little lemony brightness, Old Bay because HELLO, we’re in Maryland, and buttery toasted bread for dipping.
Basically, it’s a lobster roll that decided to stop being polite and show up to the party in dip form. 😏
🦞 Lobster Roll Dip
Ingredients:
- 1 lb cooked lobster meat, chopped
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- ½ cup shredded mozzarella
- ¼ cup finely chopped celery
- 2 tbsp finely chopped green onion
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
- Salt & pepper, to taste
For serving:
- Toasted baguette slices
- Buttery crackers
- Toasted brioche pieces
- Or, honestly… a spoon. I’m not here to judge. 😂
👩🍳 Let’s Make It!
1. Mix it up:
Preheat your oven to 375°F. In a bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, mayo, mozzarella, celery, green onion, lemon juice, Old Bay, garlic powder, salt and pepper.
2. Add the star of the show:
Gently fold in the chopped lobster. Don’t beat it up—we want those gorgeous little chunks of lobster to stay intact.
3. Get it buttery:
Transfer everything to a small baking dish and drizzle the melted butter over the top.
4. Bake:
Pop it into the oven for about 20–25 minutes, until hot, bubbly, and gloriously melty around the edges.
5. Finish it off:
Sprinkle with fresh parsley and maybe an extra little dusting of Old Bay because we have standards. 😎
Serve it hot with toasted bread, crackers, or buttery brioche pieces.
🦞 A Few Little Tips
✨ Fresh lobster is fantastic, but good-quality cooked lobster meat works beautifully too.
✨ Want MORE lobster? Throw another ½ pound in there. I fully support this decision.
✨ For an extra decadent version, add a tablespoon or two of melted butter right into the dip.
✨ Want a little kick? Add a pinch of cayenne or a few dashes of hot sauce.
✨ Making it ahead? Assemble it, cover it, refrigerate, then bake when you're ready to serve. Just add a few extra minutes to the baking time.
This is the kind of appetizer where you put it out thinking, “This should be plenty.”
Then 14 minutes later you're staring at an empty dish wondering who the hell ate all the lobster. 😂
Save this one for your next seafood night, summer party, game day, or anytime you want to make people suspiciously impressed with your cooking skills. 🦞❤️
