Here's a little reminder: You are not everybody's cup of tea, and that's perfectly fine. Some people don't even like tea. That's their problem. ☕😂
The older I get, the more I realize that trying to keep everybody happy is a full-time job with terrible benefits and absolutely no retirement plan.
Be kind. Be genuine. Have a good heart. But stop twisting yourself into a pretzel just to make people comfortable with who you are.
Some people will love your personality. Others will find a problem with the way you breathe. And trust me, you could hand out free hundred-dollar bills and somebody would complain they weren't crisp enough. 🙄
Here's the thing: Being a good person doesn't mean everyone has to like you. It means you can be proud of how you treat people, even when they don't return the favor.
So be yourself. Laugh loudly. Set boundaries. Speak your mind with kindness, and stop worrying about who's applauding.
Because at this age, I'm not auditioning for anyone's approval. I've got bills to pay, memories to make, and a whole lot of life left to enjoy. 💕
And besides, being liked by everyone is a clown's job. I'm not putting on the big red shoes for anybody. 🤡🤣
