Let’s talk about something we forget far too easily:
You are needed.
Not the perfectly put-together version of you.
Not the version who has everything figured out, never cries in the Target parking lot, and somehow remembers to drink enough water.
You. Exactly as you are.
Your life matters. Your gifts matter. Your presence matters.
And before you roll your eyes and say, “Oh please, I’m just one person,” let me stop you right there.
Because you have absolutely no idea how many lives you touch simply by being you.
That encouraging text you almost didn’t send?
Someone may have desperately needed it.
That compliment you gave a stranger?
You might have changed the trajectory of their entire day.
That time you listened instead of judging?
That mattered.
That time you showed up for someone when you were struggling yourself?
That mattered too.
We tend to think our impact has to be BIG to count.
We imagine changing the world means doing something extraordinary—starting a movement, building a company, writing a bestselling book, saving the planet before breakfast.
Meanwhile, we overlook the incredibly ordinary ways we change the world every single day.
A smile.
A kind word.
A little patience.
Holding the door.
Checking on someone.
Giving someone hope when they’ve run out of their own.
Choosing kindness when being an asshole would have been considerably easier. 😂
That is impact.
And here's the part I really want you to remember:
You don't always get to see your ripple.
You may never know that the conversation you had with someone years ago still lives in their heart.
You may never know that your kindness helped someone through a terrible day.
You may never know that watching you keep going gave somebody else permission to keep going too.
That's the tricky thing about being a light in someone else's life.
You don't always get to see where the light travels.
So stop underestimating yourself because you haven't reached some imaginary finish line.
Stop thinking your life has to look impressive to be meaningful.
Stop comparing your chapter one to somebody else's highlight reel and then deciding you're somehow behind.
And for the love of everything holy, stop waiting until you have your entire life together before you decide you're worthy of making a difference. 😂
You don't have to be perfect to be powerful.
You just have to keep showing up.
Keep loving.
Keep helping.
Keep encouraging.
Keep being the person who makes somebody else's day a little lighter.
Because kindness doesn't stay where you leave it.
It spreads.
One person tells another.
One smile creates another.
One act of compassion inspires another.
And suddenly, something you thought was small has traveled much farther than you ever realized.
So today, remember this:
You are not insignificant.
You are not taking up space.
You are not “just” one person.
You are part of the ripple.
And the world needs what only you can bring to it.
So go ahead.
Take up some space.
Use your voice.
Share your gifts.
Love loudly.
Be kind.
And when that little voice in your head tells you that what you do doesn't matter…
Tell it to sit down. It clearly hasn't been paying attention. 😉💛
Because you are needed.
More than you know.
