Can we normalize being a happy girl again?
Not fake happy.
Not “I’m smiling for the picture while internally plotting my escape” happy. 😂
I mean genuinely happy.
The kind of happy that doesn't require an audience, an announcement, or a subtweet.
Just… happy.
You know what that looks like?
Minding your business.
Protecting your peace.
Laughing until your stomach hurts.
Getting excited over little things.
Going where you're celebrated.
Leaving where you're tolerated.
Wearing the outfit because YOU like it.
Taking yourself out.
Making plans.
Changing your mind.
Growing quietly.
And not feeling the need to explain every damn thing you do.
You don't have to compete with anybody.
Someone else's beauty doesn't take away from yours.
Someone else's success doesn't cancel yours.
Someone getting married, buying a house, having a baby, getting promoted, traveling the world, or finally getting their life together doesn't mean you're behind.
Their timeline isn't your deadline.
And honestly, constantly comparing yourself to everyone around you is exhausting.
You weren't put on this earth to win a competition nobody asked you to enter.
So let her have her moment.
And you have yours.
There's enough room for everybody to shine.
And please… let's retire the bitterness.
Life is too short to spend your days keeping score of who did what, who said what, who unfollowed whom, who got invited, who didn't, and who supposedly "owes you."
Girl.
Go drink some water. 😂
Some of y'all don't need revenge.
You need a nap, a hobby, and approximately 47 minutes away from Facebook.
Not everything requires a reaction.
Not everything deserves your energy.
Sometimes the most savage thing you can do is be completely unavailable for the nonsense.
Glow differently when you're at peace.
There's something incredibly attractive about a woman who isn't constantly trying to prove herself.
She knows who she is.
She knows what she brings to the table.
She knows what she will and will not tolerate.
And she doesn't need everyone to understand her choices.
She's too busy living.
That's the glow.
Not perfection.
Not having everything figured out.
Not pretending life never gets messy.
It's knowing that even when life gets messy, you don't have to become messy with it.
You can choose joy.
You can choose peace.
You can choose to laugh more.
You can choose to stop entertaining people who drain you.
You can choose to celebrate yourself without waiting for someone else to validate you.
And you can absolutely be a little selfish with your happiness.
Because protecting your peace isn't rude.
It's responsible.
So normalize the happy girl.
The girl who isn't competing.
The woman who isn't bitter.
The one who doesn't need to tear another woman down to feel tall.
The one who celebrates other people's wins without feeling threatened by them.
The one who can walk away from drama without needing the last word.
The one who wakes up and thinks:
“You know what? I actually like my life.”
And if you're not quite there yet?
That's okay too.
Start small.
Find something that makes you laugh.
Spend time with people who make you feel good.
Stop checking on people you claim you don't care about.
Unfollow the accounts that make you question your worth.
Get outside.
Try something new.
Make plans you're excited about.
And for the love of everything peaceful…
stop volunteering for chaos. 😂
You deserve a life that feels good from the inside—not just one that looks good from the outside.
So glow.
Laugh.
Love.
Grow.
Mind your business.
Protect your peace.
And enjoy the hell out of your life.
Being happy isn't toxic.
Being confident isn't arrogant.
Being unbothered isn't cold.
And choosing yourself isn't selfish.
Sometimes happiness really is as simple as deciding:
“I'm done letting miserable people convince me that I should be miserable too.” ✨
