Some moments leave you with no words.

It’s easy today to share a photo, write “We Remember,” and say “Never Forget.” And we should. We absolutely should.

But I can’t help but wonder…

What does “never forget” actually mean if we only remember for one day?

Are we teaching our children what happened?
Are we honoring the lives that were lost—not just with words, but with how we live?
Are we appreciating the people who run toward danger while the rest of us are running away?
Are we choosing kindness over division?
Are we remembering how, for a brief moment, we were simply Americans—looking out for one another?

Because remembering isn't just posting a meme.

Remembering is how we treat each other.
Remembering is what we teach the next generation.
Remembering is appreciating the freedoms we have.
Remembering is honoring those who never got to go home.

So yes… we remember.

But maybe today is also a good day to ask ourselves:

What are we actually doing to make sure we never forget?
