I've Been Strong Long Enough. Now I Just Want to Be Happy. ❤️

There comes a point in life when you realize you're no longer interested in proving how much you can handle. You've survived the heartbreaks, weathered the storms, picked yourself up more times than you can count, and somehow managed to keep smiling through it all.

And while being called a strong woman is a compliment, sometimes you just want to say, "Thank you, but I'd really like to retire from the position now!" 😂

I don't want the second half of my life to be another obstacle course with surprise challenges and character-building exercises. Good grief, haven't we earned enough extra credit by now?!

I want slow mornings, belly laughs, peaceful evenings, spontaneous adventures, good food, genuine love, and people who make life feel lighter instead of heavier.

I want to enjoy the little things without constantly waiting for the next shoe to drop. I want to say no without writing a three-page explanation and say yes simply because something makes me happy.

I don't want to spend the rest of my life recovering from the life I'm living. I want to actually enjoy it.

And here's the beautiful thing about getting older. You start realizing that peace isn't boring, happiness doesn't have to be complicated, and a quiet life filled with love and laughter can be the greatest adventure of all.

I've done the surviving. I've earned my wisdom, collected my battle scars, and graduated from the school of hard knocks with honors. Pretty sure I even made the dean's list! 😂

Now? I want softness. I want joy. I want memories that make me smile and relationships that feel like home.

Because the second half of life shouldn't just be about how much more we can endure. It should be about finally enjoying everything we've worked so hard to get through.

And if life wants to send another character-building lesson my way, I'd kindly like to decline. My character is fully developed, thank you very much! 😉❤️
