💜 Plot Twist: Sometimes I Was the Problem! 😂

Now here's a little personal growth nobody really likes talking about… sometimes the biggest obstacle standing in our way is the person staring back at us in the mirror. 🪞

Ouch. I know. That one stings a little. 😂

It's easy to look back and blame circumstances, bad timing, other people, or life just being downright unfair.

And sometimes those things absolutely played a part.

But sometimes? We ignored the red flags, made excuses, procrastinated, gave people too many chances, or stayed in situations long after our common sense had packed its bags and left the building. 🤦‍♀️

And let's not forget those wonderful moments when our gut was practically screaming at us, but we decided to hold a committee meeting with our emotions instead. 😂

That's where accountability comes in.

Not the kind where you beat yourself up over every mistake you've ever made. Good grief, life does enough of that without us volunteering for overtime!

I'm talking about the kind where you can look back and say:

"Yep, I knew better. I should've handled that differently. And next time, I will."

Because here's the beautiful thing about growing older and hopefully a little wiser…

❤️ You learn that not every mistake needs to become a lifelong regret.

🌷 You realize that taking responsibility doesn't mean taking the blame for everything.

💜 You stop confusing familiar situations with healthy ones.

✨ And you finally understand that trusting yourself means actually LISTENING when your intuition speaks.

Growth isn't about pretending you've always made the right decisions. It's about being willing to make better ones moving forward.

I've learned that some of my greatest lessons didn't come from what other people did to me. They came from recognizing what I allowed, what I ignored, and what I needed to change within myself.

And believe me, that mirror can be a little disrespectful sometimes! 😂

But I'd rather have an uncomfortable conversation with myself than keep repeating the same lesson with a different cast of characters.

Accountability isn't punishment. It's freedom.

Because once you recognize your part in the story, you also recognize your power to write the next chapter differently.

And at this stage of life, I'm not interested in retaking classes I've already paid for emotionally. The tuition was expensive enough the first time! 😂💜
