Because apparently the martini needed a snackable alter ego.
Okay, hear me out…
We already love a dirty martini.
We love olives.
We love salty, briny goodness.
We love creamy cheese.
We love appetizers that disappear suspiciously fast.
So naturally, someone had to put all of that in a bowl.
Enter: Dirty Martini Dip. πΈ
It’s creamy, tangy, salty, cheesy, loaded with chopped olives, and finished with that unmistakable dirty-martini flavor.
Basically, if a cocktail and a party dip had a very delicious baby…
This would be it. π
π« WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup sour cream
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- 1 cup shredded white cheddar
- ½ cup crumbled feta
- ½ cup green olives, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons olive brine
- 1–2 tablespoons dry vermouth
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- Freshly cracked black pepper
- Optional: ¼ cup finely chopped pepperoncini
- Extra olives for topping
πΈ LET'S GET THIS PARTY STARTED
1. Make the creamy base.
In a mixing bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise until smooth.
No lumps.
We're making dip, not cottage cheese. π
2. Add the good stuff.
Fold in the white cheddar, feta, chopped olives, olive brine, vermouth, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and plenty of black pepper.
Give it a good stir.
Then taste it.
Need it dirtier?
ADD MORE OLIVE BRINE.
This is not the time to be shy.
3. Chill it.
Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
An hour is even better because all those flavors get a chance to mingle.
Basically, let the ingredients have their little cocktail party before you serve them. π
4. Make it pretty.
Spoon into a serving bowl and top with extra chopped olives, a little feta, cracked black pepper, and—if you're feeling fancy—a few whole olives.
Because presentation matters.
Especially when you're about to eat half the bowl standing over the kitchen counter.
5. SERVE.
Grab crackers, toasted baguette slices, crostini, pretzels, celery, cucumber slices, or your favorite sturdy chip.
Then prepare yourself for:
“OMG, WHAT IS IN THIS?”
And you can casually say:
“Oh, nothing.”
Because you don't have to tell them you just created the greatest excuse to eat olives by the handful. π
π« WANT IT HOT?
Absolutely.
Spread the dip into a small baking dish and bake at 375°F for about 20–25 minutes, until hot, bubbly, and gloriously melty.
Top with extra olives right before serving.
Now we're talking.
πΈ A FEW DIRTY LITTLE TIPS
Want it extra briny?
More olive juice.
Want more martini flavor?
Add another splash of dry vermouth.
Want it spicy?
Throw in some pepperoncini or a pinch of crushed red pepper.
Want it extra cheesy?
You already know what to do. π
Want to make it ahead?
Absolutely. Make it the day before and keep it refrigerated until party time.
π₯ THE VERDICT
This dip is creamy.
It's cheesy.
It's salty.
It's briny.
It's tangy.
And it has just enough martini attitude to make your basic cheese dip feel slightly underdressed. π
So the next time you're hosting girls' night, game night, a holiday party, or just need an excuse to put olives in EVERYTHING…
Make the damn dip.
Because sometimes the best cocktail is the one you can eat with a cracker. πΈπ«π
