🍕 Apparently My Stomach Has Zero Respect for the Grocery Budget

There I am… minding my own business… when suddenly:

GROOOOOWWWWWLLLLLL.

Excuse me?! 😂

Ma’am. Sir. Whatever organ department is responsible for this nonsense…

We just ate.

And let’s not pretend there isn’t a perfectly good layer of emergency provisions currently residing around my midsection. The food is literally on-site. 🤣

My stomach: “I’m starving.”
My body: “You have plenty of stored energy.”
My stomach: “That sounds like a YOU problem.”
Me: “Can we please stop eating like we’re preparing for a 14-day famine?”

But honestly, hunger is a funny little thing. Sometimes that growling really is your body asking for fuel. Other times, it’s thirst, boredom, stress, habit, or simply your brain remembering that there are snacks in the house. 👀

So before you launch yourself face-first into the pantry, try the highly advanced scientific technique known as:

“Drink some water and wait 10 minutes.”

Then if you're genuinely hungry? EAT.
Preferably something that actually satisfies you—protein, fiber, fruits, vegetables, whole grains, healthy fats… you know, the stuff that keeps your stomach from filing another complaint 37 minutes later.

Because apparently having body fat is not the same thing as having a 24-hour buffet conveniently connected to your digestive system.

Rude.

Absolutely rude. 😂

And if your stomach is growling right now…

Congratulations. Your internal alarm system is working.

Now go figure out whether it wants a nutritious meal or whether it just heard a bag of chips open from three rooms away. 😏

What’s the most ridiculous thing that has ever made you realize you were actually hungry? 👇😂
