Bright-Eyed? Bushy-Tailed? Ma’am, Let’s Not Get Crazy.

There are mornings when you wake up ready to conquer the world.

And then there are mornings when your hair looks like it lost a fight with a ceiling fan, your eyes are barely open, and the mere thought of forming a coherent sentence feels like an unreasonable demand.

So when someone says, “Good morning! Why aren’t you bright-eyed and bushy-tailed?”

Ma’am.

Please go find a squirrel. 🐿️😂

We’ve somehow turned being exhausted into a character flaw. If you're not bouncing out of bed at 5 a.m. with a grateful heart, a green smoothie, and a detailed five-year plan, apparently you're doing life wrong.

Nope.

Some days, getting out of bed, putting on pants, and answering one email without cussing is an accomplishment.

And that's okay.

You don't have to be “on” every minute of every day. You don't have to wake up inspired. You don't have to pretend you're energized when your soul is still loading.

Give yourself a minute.

Drink the coffee.
Fix the hair.
Stare blankly into the middle distance if necessary. 😂

Then get moving when you're ready.

Because productivity doesn't always look like sunshine and enthusiasm.

Sometimes it looks like “I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing, but I'm doing it anyway.”

And honestly?

That's still progress.

So if you're not bright-eyed and bushy-tailed today, don't worry.

The squirrel has been located. Let her handle it. 🐿️😂
