Let’s be honest… deviled eggs are already dangerously snackable.
You make a dozen for a party, tell yourself you’ll save them for everyone, and somehow you’re standing in the kitchen eating the fourth one while pretending you’re “checking the seasoning.”
Sure, Jan. 😂
But these Garlic Bread Deviled Eggs take things to an entirely unnecessary—and absolutely delicious—level.
We’re talking creamy, savory deviled egg filling with garlic, Parmesan, parsley, and buttery toasted breadcrumbs that give you all the glorious flavors of garlic bread… without actually putting a loaf of bread on the appetizer tray.
Because apparently we can’t just leave well enough alone. And frankly, I support that. 😏
🧄 Garlic Bread Deviled Eggs
Ingredients
For the eggs:
- 6 large eggs, hard-boiled and peeled
- 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon minced fresh garlic
- 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon chopped fresh parsley
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
For the garlic-bread topping:
- 2 tablespoons butter
- ¼ cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1 small garlic clove, finely minced
- 1 tablespoon Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon chopped parsley
Directions
1. Make those eggs behave.
Slice the hard-boiled eggs in half lengthwise and carefully remove the yolks.
2. Make the filling.
Mash the yolks with mayonnaise, Dijon, garlic powder, fresh garlic, Parmesan, parsley, salt, and pepper until creamy and smooth.
Taste it.
Then taste it again.
You know… for quality control. 😉
3. Make the garlic-bread magic.
Melt the butter in a small skillet over medium-low heat. Add the panko and minced garlic. Stir constantly for a couple of minutes until the breadcrumbs are golden and smell like somebody just pulled a loaf of garlic bread out of the oven.
Remove from the heat and stir in the Parmesan and parsley.
4. Fill those little boats of deliciousness.
Spoon or pipe the deviled egg mixture back into the egg whites.
5. Bring on the crunch.
Sprinkle each egg generously with the buttery garlic breadcrumbs.
Add a tiny dusting of Parmesan and parsley if you want them looking extra fancy.
✨ A Little Extra Garlic Bread Trick
Want to really lean into the garlic-bread flavor?
Add a tiny pinch of Italian seasoning to the breadcrumb mixture.
And if you're feeling particularly rebellious, a little extra Parmesan never hurt anybody. 😏
🥚 The Final Verdict
Creamy.
Garlicky.
Buttery.
Cheesy.
Crunchy.
Basically, deviled eggs went to an Italian restaurant, got a little tipsy, and came home wearing garlic-bread perfume. 😂
These would be ridiculously good for a holiday table, brunch, potluck, game day, or honestly… standing in your kitchen eating them directly off the serving platter.
Because sometimes the appetizer is the meal.
And I'm not here to judge. 🧄🥚❤️
