You know what’s exhausting?
Trying to control what other people think about you.
Let them misunderstand you.
Let them judge you.
Let them gossip about you.
Let them create an entire fictional version of you based on three facts, two assumptions, and something they heard from somebody who wasn't even there. 😂
Let them.
Because here's the thing:
You don't have to correct every lie.
You don't have to defend every decision.
You don't have to explain every boundary.
You don't have to convince people of your intentions.
And you definitely don't have to shrink yourself just to make someone else more comfortable with who you are.
Some people are going to misunderstand you because they only know the version of you that existed before you changed.
Some will judge you because your choices don't look like the choices they'd make.
Some will gossip because apparently their own life doesn't provide enough entertainment.
And some people simply won't like you.
That's okay.
Your worth was never determined by their opinion of you in the first place.
You can be a good person and still disappoint people.
You can have a good heart and still have boundaries.
You can love someone and still walk away from them.
You can make mistakes and still be worthy.
You can outgrow people without hating them.
And you can stop explaining yourself without becoming a bad person.
There comes a point where protecting your peace becomes more important than protecting your reputation.
So let them talk.
Let them assume.
Let them misunderstand.
Meanwhile, you keep becoming the woman you're proud to be.
Keep laughing.
Keep growing.
Keep loving.
Keep healing.
Keep choosing yourself.
And most importantly...
Never let someone else's inability to see your value convince you that you don't have any.
You are beautiful.
You are worthy.
You are allowed to take up space.
And honey...
Keep fucking shining. ✨
Because the people who are meant to see your light won't need you to explain why you're glowing.
