☕ Plot Twist: I’m Not Your Cup of Tea… I’m the Laxative πŸ˜‚

Somewhere along the way, we got the idea that everybody is supposed to like us.

Absolutely not. πŸ˜‚

You don’t have to water yourself down, sweeten yourself up, or change your flavor just to make yourself easier for somebody else to swallow.

Some people will love you.
Some people won’t get you.
And some people probably need to be moved right on out of your life anyway. 😏

So stop worrying about being everyone’s cup of tea.

Be yourself. Be bold. Be authentic.

And if your presence happens to make a few people uncomfortable enough to get moving…

Well…

Consider yourself effective. πŸ’©πŸ˜‚☕

Sometimes the best direction is out

Not every situation needs to be fixed.
Not every argument needs your opinion.
Not every person deserves an explanation.

And sometimes the healthiest thing you can do is simply say…

“Yeahhhh… I’m gonna go over here.” πŸ˜‚✌️

Away from the drama.
Away from the chaos.
Away from the people who somehow turn absolutely EVERYTHING into a three-act production. πŸ™„

Protecting your peace isn’t running away. It’s realizing you don’t have to attend every circus just because somebody handed you a ticket. πŸŽͺ

Growth is knowing when to speak up… and when to grab your coffee, mind your business, and head directly toward quieter pastures. ☕😏

Because sometimes the right direction really is AWAY.

Preferably far enough away that you can’t hear the nonsense anymore. πŸ˜‚

Today's Agenda: Good Vibes and Limited Nonsense

Some days, the to-do list doesn’t need 47 tasks, three appointments, and a minor emotional breakdown before lunch. πŸ˜‚

Today’s list can be simple:

Smile. ❤️
Think positive.
Love your people.
Be grateful for what you have.
Try to inspire somebody.
And for the love of all things holy… stop letting the small stuff rent space in your head for free. πŸ™„

Not everything deserves a reaction.
Not everybody deserves your energy.
And some things are best handled with a smile, a little side-eye, and the decision to keep it moving. 😏

Happiness doesn’t mean everything is perfect. It just means we’re getting better at deciding what’s actually worth disturbing our peace.

So today, choose the good stuff.

And if somebody tries to add unnecessary drama to your to-do list… politely mark that shit “DELETED.” πŸ˜‚✅

It’s the first of the month, which means it’s time for my monthly meeting with the most judgmental little appliance in my house…

The scale. πŸ˜’πŸ˜‚

And apparently, we’re on speaking terms today because…

TWO POUNDS DOWN! πŸ’ƒπŸŽ‰

Is it 20 pounds? No.
Am I still celebrating like I just completed a full-body transformation and deserve a magazine cover?

Absolutely. πŸ˜‚

Listen, progress is progress. Two pounds here, a better choice there, maybe walking past the snacks without making prolonged eye contact… it all counts. 🀣

We spend way too much time waiting for the BIG results before giving ourselves credit for the little wins.

Not today.

Two pounds left the building, and frankly, they are not welcome back. πŸ‘‹πŸ˜‚

Now excuse me while I stand like this little dog and accept congratulations for my tremendous accomplishment. πŸΆπŸ™Œ

πŸ‚ September, You Were… A Lot. πŸ˜‚

Well, September… we made it. 🍁

Thanks for the lessons I didn’t ask for, the growth that apparently required character development, the good moments that reminded me life is pretty sweet, and even the messy ones that taught me something.

Some things worked out. Some things didn’t. Some things made absolutely no sense until later. And a few things are still sitting in the “What the hell was THAT about?” folder. πŸ˜‚

But that’s life. We learn. We adjust. We grow. And occasionally, we roll our eyes and keep moving.

So goodbye, September. ❤️
I’m keeping the memories, taking the lessons, and leaving behind anything that doesn’t deserve to follow me into October.

October… behave yourself. I’m tired. πŸ˜‚πŸ‚πŸŽƒ

Power Doesn’t Always Make Noise 😏

The older I get, the more I realize that being “powerful” has very little to do with being the loudest person in the room.

Sometimes power looks like not reacting.
Not explaining yourself for the 47th time.
Not participating in gossip.
Not saying yes when every fiber of your being is screaming ABSOLUTELY NOT. πŸ˜‚

And whew… that “be reliable, but not always available” one? Some of us could've used that lesson about 20 years ago. Apparently being a good person does not require operating a 24-hour emotional support hotline. Who knew? 🀷‍♀️

I don't agree with playing games or trying to intimidate people, but I absolutely believe there's power in learning to pause, observe, set boundaries, control your reactions, and know when to quietly exit.

Because maturity isn't proving you can win every argument.

Sometimes it's realizing the argument isn't even worth the admission price. 🎟️

Protect your peace. Watch more. React less. And remember—you don't owe everyone unlimited access to you. ❤️

Watch How You Talk to You πŸ‘€

You know that little voice in your head?

Yeah… the one with 24/7 access and absolutely no respect for business hours. πŸ˜‚

Here’s the question: Would you let another person talk to you the way you sometimes talk to yourself?

If the answer is absolutely not, then why does the voice in your own head get a free pass?

We’re quick to cut off toxic people, set boundaries, and say, “I don’t need that negativity in my life.” Meanwhile, our inner critic is sitting front row with VIP access saying things like:

You’re behind.
You screwed that up.
You’re not good enough.
Everyone else has it figured out.

Ma’am. Evict her. πŸ˜‚

You don’t have to become delusionally positive and start chanting affirmations to your houseplants. 🌱 You just need to stop talking to yourself like you’re your own worst enemy.

Try:
“I’m figuring it out.”
“I’ve handled hard things before.”
“One bad day doesn’t equal a bad life.”
“I’m allowed to start over.”

Because your self-talk eventually becomes your belief system… and your belief system has a funny way of becoming your reality.

So if that voice in your head wouldn’t make the cut in your friend group?

It’s time to change the damn script. 🎬❤️

πŸ‘ MORTGAGE MAMA PSA: PLEASE DON’T DO THIS. πŸ˜‚

You finally get pre-approved.

You find THE house. ❤️
Your offer gets accepted. πŸŽ‰
We're cruising toward closing...

And then you think:

"You know what would look GREAT in my new driveway? A brand-new $65,000 SUV." πŸš™✨

NOOOOOOO. πŸ˜πŸ˜‚

Please step away from the dealership.

Until those keys are officially in your hand, this is NOT the time to:

πŸ’³ Open new credit cards
πŸš— Finance a new vehicle
πŸ›‹️ Put $8,000 worth of furniture on credit
πŸ’° Move large amounts of money around without explaining it
πŸ’Ό Quit your job because your boss got on your last nerve
🀦‍♀️ Co-sign for Cousin Eddie because "he swears he'll make the payments"

Your lender is going to verify things again before closing.

And nothing ruins a perfectly good CLEAR TO CLOSE faster than a little financial plot twist nobody asked for. πŸ˜‚

Moral of the story:
Get the house. Get the keys. THEN call Mortgage Mama and ask me if you can go buy the couch. 🀣🏑

🏑 LOVE THE HOUSE… BUT IT NEEDS SOME WORK?

Don’t automatically count it out.

That house with the outdated kitchen, ugly bathroom, old flooring, or other eligible repairs might still be worth a second look. πŸ‘€

An FHA 203(k) renovation loan can allow eligible renovation costs to be rolled into the mortgage financing, so you may be able to purchase the home and make the improvements you need—all through one loan.

And here’s the part I really want buyers to know:

Sometimes the house that needs a little work is the one with the potential to become exactly what you want. ❤️

So before you say, “Nope, too much work,” let’s talk about what’s actually possible.

See a house you love that needs some TLC? Send it to me.
Let’s run the numbers before you write it off. πŸ˜‰

πŸ‘» Mummy Pizza

Ingredients

  • Pizza dough or naan/English muffins
  • Pizza sauce
  • Mozzarella cheese
  • Black olives
  • Pepperoni, optional
  • Italian seasoning
  • Olive oil, optional

How to make it

  1. Heat oven to 425°F.
  2. Cut your dough into individual rounds—or use naan/English muffins for an easy shortcut.
  3. Spread on pizza sauce.
  4. Add pepperoni if you're using it.
  5. Cut mozzarella into thin strips and lay them across the pizza in a crisscross pattern to look like mummy bandages.
  6. Add two little olive slices for eyes.
  7. Bake for about 10–15 minutes, until the crust is golden and the cheese is melted.
  8. Add a tiny sprinkle of Italian seasoning and serve your adorable little mummies.

Halloween shortcut: Store-bought pizza dough makes this ridiculously easy. We are going for festive, not I spent six hours making cheese strips while questioning my life choices. πŸ˜‚

For the blog, I’d give it a fun title like:

πŸŽƒ Mummy Pizza: A Halloween Dinner That’s Dying to Be Eaten

And we can make the post itself funny and engaging with a little story about how Halloween dinner doesn't have to be complicated to be cute.
