Crockpot Beef Tips and Noodles
Ingredients :
1 lb stew meat (increase to 2 lbs for a meatier dish)
1 packet Lipton onion soup mix
1 packet brown gravy mix
1 (10.5 oz) can cream of mushroom soup
1 small can mushrooms (optional, but highly recommended)
1 can beef broth (use the empty cream of mushroom soup can to measure)
Egg noodles (cooked separately according to package directions)
Instructions :
Prepare the Crockpot:
In the crockpot, combine stew meat, Lipton onion soup mix, brown gravy mix, cream of mushroom soup, and mushrooms. Stir well to mix all the ingredients.
Add Beef Broth:
Fill the empty cream of mushroom soup can with beef broth and add it to the crockpot. Stir everything together.
Slow Cook:
Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours, until the beef is tender and the gravy has thickened.
Cook Egg Noodles:
About 15 minutes before serving, cook the egg noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
Serve:
Plate the cooked egg noodles and top with the tender beef tips and plenty of gravy. Enjoy!
Notes:
Beef Choice: You can use stew meat or sirloin tips, cut into bite-sized pieces.
Extra Flavor: Mushrooms add an earthy depth to the dish, but are optional.
Thicker Gravy: For a thicker gravy, mix 1 tbsp cornstarch with cold water and add during the last 30 minutes of cooking.
Noodle Alternatives: This dish also pairs well with mashed potatoes, rice, or buttered pasta.
Storage Tips: Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat with a splash of beef broth to revive the gravy.
