If you thought I was going to be the quiet wallflower, here’s your wake up call:

I’ll never be that girl who doesn’t express her thoughts and opinion or is too scared to speak up.

I’ve got a voice and I promise you that I’ll always be heard..

Not to hear myself talk,

But to share the thoughts, ideas and opinions that matters: mine.

Maybe I don’t blend in, but I prefer it that way.

Anyone can follow the crowd, so I thought I’d try something different and follow my heart.

Chase my passions, march to my own beat and more than anything, just be true to myself.

I’ve spent too much of my life doing what everyone else thought I should do in the way they thought I should to be who they said I should be.

Forget that.

This is my life and my happiness and I’m doing the things that fill my soul and make me happy.

Life’s too short to live by someone else’s agenda, so I’m writing my own story the way I always should have.

So, maybe you won’t approve of how I live, what I think or even what I say,

But you will respect me the way I respect you…and your right to speak freely.

I’m not going to be censored, filtered or corrected..

I’m just going to be…

And if anyone has a problem with that, well.

I don’t care.

It’s my choice.

I’d rather live and be original than follow the crowd and be like everyone else.

I’m strong, I’m unique and I’m happy.

So either accept and respect me, or we can part ways here.
