Balsamic Caprese Grilled Flank Steak
INGREDIENTS:
Grilled Flank Steak with Balsamic Caprese Twist
- 1 flank steak
- 2 cups cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1 cup fresh mozzarella, cubed
- 1 cup fresh basil leaves
- 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
2. Season the flank steak generously with salt and pepper. Place it on the grill and cook for approximately 6-8 minutes on each side, or until it reaches your desired level of doneness.
3. While the steak is grilling, prepare the Caprese mixture. In a mixing bowl, combine the halved cherry tomatoes, cubed mozzarella, and fresh basil leaves. Pour in the balsamic vinegar and olive oil, then add salt and pepper to taste. Toss everything together gently.
4. Once the steak is grilled, remove it from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes to retain the juices.
5. After resting, slice the flank steak against the grain into thin strips. Plate the steak and generously top it with the prepared Caprese mixture. Enjoy your delicious meal!
