Italian Cheese Breadsticks
Ingredients:
For the Breadsticks:
1 can (13.8 oz) refrigerated pizza dough
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs (such as basil, oregano, thyme)
1 tablespoon olive oil
Salt to taste
For the Garlic Butter (optional):
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
Directions:
Prepare the Dough:
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.
Transfer the dough to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Add the Cheese and Seasonings:
Brush the dough with olive oil.
Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese and grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the dough.
Sprinkle garlic powder, dried Italian herbs, and a pinch of salt on top.
Bake:
Using a knife or pizza cutter, cut the dough into strips.
Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the breadsticks are golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
Prepare the Garlic Butter (optional):
While the breadsticks are baking, mix the melted butter with garlic powder and chopped parsley.
Brush the garlic butter over the hot breadsticks as soon as they come out of the oven.
