Shrimp And Rice Dish
Delight in the coastal flavors of this irresistibly seasoned dish that transforms any home meal into a culinary adventure.
Ingredients: :
4 teaspoons extra virgin olive oil, divided.
1 small onion, chopped and divided.
4 garlic cloves, minced and divided.
1 1/4 cups uncooked long grain rice, I use extra long grain.
2 1/2 cups chicken bone broth.
1 teaspoon Sazon seasoning with achoite.
1 medium bell pepper, finely diced.
1/4 cup chopped cilantro, divided plus more for garnish.
1 1/4 pounds shrimp, peeled and deveined.
1 tablespoon salsa lizano.
Instructions: :
Warm a heavy pot over medium heat and add 2 teaspoons of olive oil. Sauté half of the onion, garlic, and cilantro until soft, about 2 minutes.
Introduce the rice, bone broth, and sazón seasoning to the pot. Increase to high heat until it reaches a boil, then lower the flame and cover. Cook for 15 minutes without disturbing.
Turn off the heat and allow the rice to sit for another 5 minutes to ensure a perfect texture. Afterward, use a fork to fluff the cooked rice.
In a separate deep skillet, heat the remaining oil over medium heat. Sauté the other half of the onions and bell peppers until soft, around 2 to 3 minutes, and then add the remaining garlic, cooking for another minute until aromatic.
Add the shrimp to the skillet, cooking them until they turn opaque and are thoroughly cooked, around 3 minutes.
Once the rice is ready, combine it with the shrimp in the skillet. Stir in the salsa Lizano until evenly distributed, and garnish with the reserved cilantro before serving.
