Strawberry Cheesecake Stuffed French Toast 🍓
Ingredients:
For the Filling:
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup diced strawberries
For the French Toast:
8 slices thick-cut bread
4 large eggs
1 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
Butter, for frying
For Serving:
Maple syrup
Additional diced strawberries
Optional: Powdered sugar
Instructions:
Prepare the Filling: Beat softened cream cheese until smooth. Mix in powdered sugar and vanilla, then gently fold in diced strawberries.
Make the Batter: In a shallow dish, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon.
Assemble: Spread the cheesecake filling evenly over 4 slices of bread. Top with the remaining slices to form sandwiches.
Cook: Heat some butter in a skillet over medium heat. Dip each sandwich in the batter, ensuring both sides are well coated. Fry until each side is golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
Serve: Drizzle with maple syrup, add additional diced strawberries, and sprinkle powdered sugar if desired.
